There is no official BMW instruction to do it with a machine.
here is a way how it goes:
1. A gearbox flush additive is added to the gearbox oil.
2. Car is brought to operating temperature.
3. Car is connected to the machine via two pipes on the connections at the gearbox, where normally the oil cooler pipes are connected.
4. The machine gets switched on and FRESH gearbox oil is pumped through the gearbox, the TC and the valve body.
5. The flushed through oil is pumped into a drum. As soon as only clean ATF is coming out of the machine, the process is terminated.
6. Machine is disconnected, and oil cooler pipes are reconnected.
7. Using this method is the only way to get all gunk deposits out of the valve body and the TC
