like i said, it is not impossible, but you need a hack for it.
main problem then is not to get it run, but after that your car wont be able to be programmed by any BMW Computer system again, thats what you should know about,...
and you need someone to write your "FA" - "custom-vehicle-letter" perfect to bring it up to work well with all other components in your car.
at least you should have the lates update version on the whole car before retrofitting, but keep also law in mind.

i have had a lot of customers that had any of other retrofitting by using a "hack-simulator" and causing a lot of main problems killing the whole BUS-system.
these "hack-simulators" often get failure
