Oil cooler
Hi all.
I have a little trouble with my oil cooler.
So, if I disconnect the oil cooler hoses from my oil filterhousing and I close the holes with a plate. Can I run my car (735 from 1986 ) like this for a while. I mean, will the oilpump still be able to pump the oil trough the whole system.
I know there were models without an oilcooler but maybe they also had a different oilfilterhousing.
No need to reply in English.
Thanks Henk.

hi Boxerheinz.
Thanks, but it's not about the oilfilterhousing. I want to disconnect the oilhoses from the oilcooler and I like to know if the oil circulation through the engine will be blokked if I do so.
Henk.

As it is now with you you need a circuit to the motor.
It is only then when the housing is also changed by the oil filter.

Beim Ölfiltergehäuse mit Ölkühleranschlss ist es ervorderlich das der Kreislauf bestehen bleibt.

Oké. I fixed it for now. Works well. Only problem is the oilpump belt. It slips through spilled oil so I don't have powerstering and breaks. Will fix that tomorrow.
Henk.
