Need some help with wires in my 85' 732i

1. Is this from rear speakers?

2. What is this connection for?

3. Here it should be a relay, but for what?

The No. 3 is for a light relay. This is standard from 735i.
The light relay ensures the continuation of the interior lighting lamps for a time from door opening.

My car a 745i was for a while located in Norway. In order to comply with traffic regulations they converted the car to daylight lightequipement. Two relais were placed under the dash. I reconverted the equipement but my foglights are stille not working. Check if an aditional cabel exist from the fusebox with a diode in it.(in my case yellow) My conversion was done in Fredrikstad at local BMW dealer Bil-OG but it does not exist anymore. I donot know what they changed and so I cannot solve the problem. BMW Munich doesnot have an instuctions for daylight conversion. So it remains a questionmark what they have changed.

Found out that cable nr 1 comes from the driver door. I dont have powerwindows in my car so maybe it's for use if I want to put powerwindows into the car?

RobertF: Did you really by a e23 from Norway? Where is the yellow cable form the fusebox go? I dont have foglights on my car but I will get them later.

Some more questions here.. What is this connector for? Cruisecontrol/Obc?


And this one.. Lefts side of the trunk.. For amplifier for the BMW sound system?

Hi Borge, my car belonged to a Schotisch diplomat who had the car sent to Saudi Arabie, Jedah where it stayed untill 1996, then he went for a couple of years to New York with the car, then to Fredrikstad and Berlin and then to Aberdeen. There was an aditional yellow cabel with diode from the fusebox which went under the dash where 2 relais were installed, Several wires of foglights and headlight were cut and fixed to the 2 relais . I disconnected the wires and soldered color at color but as I said the foglights donot work.

Nice to have a car with such interresting history! Is the car white..I could be wrong about the color though..? I believe I have read about it in american BMW forum.. Wish I could help you, but Im quite a newbi when it comes to electric parts and connections.. Are you in Scotland or Germany now? I could try search here in Norway to figure out how they connected the head/foglights.. Any pics of the car?
