Looks like the original poster disconnected the battery and then touched the two wire terminals together, and charged the battery properly. And then the problem "eventually" went away.
The issue of a not fully charged battery (both of them) seems to cause all sorts of issues with these cars, so i would start there. Quick and simple solution that may work.
And remember that once you fix the issue you MUST report back on what the fix actually was!!
