hat jemand schon seinen I pod (G5) im E65 angeschlossen ?

Wenn ja wie klingt er und wie wurde er an das E65-Bordsystem eingeschleust ?

Signal Hill, CA., Jan. 6—Visitors to this year’s CES (Jan 6-9 in Las Vegas,NV) and Macworld Expo (Jan 11-14 in San Francisco, CA) events will see Dension Audio Systems’ innovative integration of the Apple iPod to the “MOST” fibre optic vehicle infotainment platform.

MOST is an industry standard supported by major vehicle manufacturers including Mercedes-Benz / DaimlerChrysler, BMW, Volkswagen/Audi Group and selected vehicles in Ford’s Premier Automotive Group. The standard provides for the connection of vehicle entertainment, information and navigation components by a fibre optic ring. Until now, the addition of third party or aftermarket products to vehicles equipped with this ring has been virtually impossible.

"We noted that the users of products like the Apple iPod have a strong affinity towards advanced technology and product design. This is evident in the range of vehicles which our customers ask us to integrate to. BMW hat seine iPod-Schnittstelle überarbeitet und nicht mehr nur in das Audio System, sondern das komplette Soundsystem integriert. Dadurch sei es jetzt möglich, nicht nur die Titelinformationen auf dem Display anzuzeigen, sondern auch danach zu sortieren oder eine Zufallsauswahl von 500 Titeln abzuspielen. Außerdem sei die neue Schnittstelle zu den amerikanischen SIRIUS Satelliten-Radios kompatibel und den dort kürzlich vorgestellten HD-Radios. Anschließen soll man den iPod an 3er, Sportwägen, 5er, 6er und 7er Serien, einschließlich der neuen M5 Sedan und M6 Coupé - ob allerdings auch in Europa verrät der Bericht auf Geekzone bisher nicht.

BMW has announced a newly developed interface for the Apple iPod will be available for owners of the new BMW 3 Series Sedans and Sports Wagons as well as the 5, 6, 7 Series and the new M5 Sedan and M6 Coupe.

The new Interface is compatible with SIRIUS satellite radio as well as the recently introduced HD Radio.

The original BMW iPod adapter integrated an Apple iPod into the vehicle's audio system. The new interface will also allow users to incorporate their iPods directly into their car's sound system, but with the newly available capability to sort their music by playlist, artist, album, genre, podcast, and finally, a random selection of 500 songs from the user library. Artist, album, and song title will appear in the Display Monitor.

This integration means drivers can control their music through their existing audio system and multifunction steering wheel, this allows drivers to access their entire music library, shuffle songs, skip between tracks and adjust volume.


Consumers should check with their BMW centres for specific application restrictions, and installation can only be performed by authorized BMW centres only.

Also ich bin da skeptisch.....
mittlererweile, denn die Ankündigung von Dension währt ja auch schon über ein 3/4 Jahr. Dazu kommt sicherlich auch, daß mit dem Sirius-radio in den Staaten eine komplette andere hardware verbaut wird.
Am MOST Bus hängt das zwar auch.......aber...

Und was bitte sollen (nur) 500 zufällig wiedergebbare Titel bringen? Die habe ich ja schon im Wechsler, wenn ich 6 MP3 CD's da reinpack'....

meine familie hat zwar nicht den neuen e65 7ner aber dafür den e38
naja da haben wir dieses iTrip Griffn zeugs mal vom Kumpel ausprobiert und es hört sie wirklich nicht gut an! fast schlechter als Kassette! Lass dich also nicht von "ebay" angeboten verarschen die meinen >ohne verlust< ect. Die labern alle nur bist!

Ja, der Klang ist so lala....

IMHO wie Kassette, ist ja auch logisch, bei einer fm-systemtypischen Beschränkung von ca. 50-15000Hz. da fehlt so einiges.

Viel schlimmer ist allerdings die Klangverschlechterung durch den hier üblichen Frequenzsalat von Nachbarsendern. Die Senderdichte in D ist doch so hoch, daß es mir in HH schwer fällt einen einigermaßen stabilen unbelegten Platz zu finden.

Von dem Problem der Fernfahrten & der Frequenzwechsel mal ganz abgesehen.
