Motorraum: M30B34 in E32

Hallo all,

First, I would like to apologize to I am posting in English, but my German is not useful . I suppose You will understand me (and maybe answer ).

Now back to the topic. I would like to ask if I am allowed to put the M30B34 engine to the E32. There is the M30B30 engine currently in the car. I assume I will have to replace the ECU and, maybe the EML CU (I am not sure with the EML CU).

However, I worry about probably different mountings and/or ECU communication problems with other systems (EML, ASC, board computer...), has anybody of you tried this engine in E32?

If you change the engine, you have to change the ECU too. Also the RPM-Coding.
And i think you also have to change the transmission because the connection flange is different, but i don´t know it exactly. Looooong time ago i had a E28 Diesel and i replaced the engine with the same one that was built some moths later. I got in trouble... because of the connection flange. So know what you are doing...

But a BMW is not a GM-Car, where all parts could be mixed however you want!
