				 m70 umbau nicht bmw
 Hello
I'm buying a m70 from a 94 e32. What do I certainly need to buy with it to let it run in a non bmw car?

 I think I need:

 Engine
 3 ecu's and loom
2 lmm's and maybe also the airboxes
bellhousing of autobox (I wanna use a tremec t56 6 speed)
And also the device for the electric throttle? Is it located near the throttle pedal?

 Anything else?

Cheers & thanx in advance. Sorry for the english but my "Deutsch" is even worse ;-)

ps Am I right this engine is still the m70 version with boostfriendly CR?

Yes, the throttle position sensor is located near the pedal.
I think, thats what you need.
Of course, all the other sensors too.
Cylinder identifictaion, engine speed signal, water temperature and air temperature (every sensor twice).
I would also use the original alternator and if needed, the air conditioning compressor and the power-steering pump.
 Maybe also the oxygen sensors.

Part of the loom is a relay box which you should also use.

The electric throttle needs a bulb which is located in the speedometer of the E32.
But you can also use an external lamp. (About 2 watts)
The ecus need a speed signal which they get from the speedometer.
Actually it comes from the differntial (9 pulses per rotation) but the speedometer treats the signal.

There exists a BMW 6 gear box from the BMW 850 which fits to the M70.
(Right now, there are some new ones on ebay)

In which car you want to attach the M70?
And do you wanna turbo charge it?

To add to the required pars don't forget the fuel pumps, the required relays, oxygen sensors,...etc.
As much as I hate to see another e32 die: the cheapest is probably to get a whole 750i as a donor.

But, the complete ignition system. |

 Thanx for the additional info!
I don't have the place to stock an entire e32, thats why I just buy the required parts.

Are the fuel pumps located in the tank or are they external pumps?

I wanna try to put this engine in an a series opel manta...

 Greetz,

 Kris

the fuel pumps are inside the tank. And you also need the cluster because you need the EML light.
See here
  EML bulbs
what the EML needs are these data, if no or unconform data, the car will run like a snail
  http://www.europeantransmissions.com...MW/EML-BMW.pdf
for example if the 2 throttling valves are our of synchronisation by more than 2 percent, the system switches to emergency mode = limp home mode. |
