750i vs. M5 3,6 E34

I have raced with a guy I know. He has has a M5 3,6 E34 with 315 bhp. In the beginning from 90-180 km/h I dont have so much to come with, 180-200 km/h the M5 came good and from 200-220 km/h the 750i is a bit faster and then it was quite the same between the two cars. When my automatic-gearbox had shift up to the 4th gear in 230 km/h, after that in 240 km/h my car started to accelerate a little bit better. I had 255 km/h on the speedometer, when he was a little bit after me. I had never thought that a 750i could go so well!!! The guy was angry and he wanted to tune up more bhp in the M5.
