I hope that is OK that I answer in English.. You are missing the point and we look at this car with different classes.. I have bought a e23 with a Danish license and TAX.. I am really happy for a cheap car and if I were in the market for a original car I should have looked else ware and in a completely different price range..

I haven't been "reingelent" because I did not expect a original car. I can see the colour in the engine bay and this were my first clue.. I did ask here because I was curious about the car and what I have bought. The win are from the Spritzwand and for sure a 4 speed. I shall look for production dates in the enginebay and the engine number.

You look at my E23 with the same classes that I look at my Alpina.. It must be 100% original and newer or facelift parts are absolutely no go.

Even though my car is a "bastard" I am happy. The car is in storage but I will go there and take better pictures because it could be interesting to see precise what there has been done to the car..

Just for the record I am not offended and I completely understand you dislike when I take my passion for my Alpina in consideration! :-)

Fine. If the danish authorities are fine with such artificial aging of a car by replacing the parts that carry the FIN.

If you feel that way - good. I would feel 'reingelegt' if I buy a 1977 car that turns out to be a mix of 30% 1977 and 70% 1985.

Ok. So it appears that the original engine of the car (the part of it beginning at the windscreen ...) was smashed during the crash (or whatever other incident made somebody mate 1977 with 1985) and also replaced with the one from the bodywork donor car.

But I guess I'll better stop making assumptions until we see more pictures off all the relevant sections.

Not necessarily. You can put together whatever you want. But if you're asking what you have bought, be prepared to receive feedback that shows the mismatch.

Thank you and I am sorry if I took you for "original Polizei" :-)

I would really appreciate if the hole story about the car could get out. I will take pictures of parts to find dates and clues that could help sort this out.

In Denmark it is not illegal to reesheel if the car had a major accident so maybe this has been done??

But I will return with more info!

Also in Germany this is possible. Even the FIN can be changed (e.g. when rebuilding a car using a used body/shell that already has a FIN). But there are very strict rules on how such procedure must be executed and documented. Just putting the front end of one car to the back end of another wouldn't fly ...

So Kleine update.. Ist nicht eine vergasser aber bestimmt eine injection.. Welche weiß ich nicht aber ich glaube steure gerät können beraten.. Können ich es sehen auf dem Motor?

Selber manifold mit dem runden Rohren wie auf diese Modellbild.. (Auto steht noch 30 km weg)



Andren frage.. Steht dem FIN/VIN andern stelle als auf dem Spritzwand?

Das ist offenbar ein Bild von einem D-Jetronic 3.0CSi (E9).

Wenn dein Motor dasselbe Ansauggeweih hat, handelt es sich um einen L-Jetronic Motor, da die Ansauganlage dieselbe ist (von der Drosselklappe bis zum Zylinderkopf). Steuergerät usw. ist aber völlig anders.

Leider steht die FIN nur auf der Spritzwand und dem Fabrikschild.

Du kannst mal unter der Rücksitzbank gucken, vielleicht hast Du Glück und es findet sich noch der Laufzettel aus der Fertigung (des hinteren Teils deines Wagens).

Ich habe das mit Interesse gelesen und Tom,Du hast anscheinend richtig Ahnung.
Mal gucken was der Kumpel denn nun herangezogen hat.. manchmal weiß ich nich recht, ob mancher hier so ne Art Spaßraten veranstalten will(warum auch immer) aber im Netzt triffste schon traurige Gestalten manchmal.
Soll hier aber nicht angenommen sein.

Interessant,die technischen Details zu erfahren issrs jedenfalls!
