Problem solved

Removed the L front wheel brake hose. No block or damage. Could blow air from mouth in both directions. So my problem would have been from a stuck pistion causing the brake pads to grip on the rotor.
Cleaned the piston and caliper housing using 800 grit emery paper and assembled the unit. Few points to keep in mind.
1. Remove the brake hose from the brake pipe end and not from the caliper end initially.
2. Fix the hose to the caliper and mount the caliper and fix the other end of the hose to the brake pipe.
3. Fix the dust cover boot to the caliper and then only push the pistion in (I tried to fix the boot to the pistion , push the piston in to the caliper and then tried to fix the other end of the dust cover boot. That was impossible, so I had to take the piston out again).
Bled brakes, fixed the wheel and did my simulation test described earlier. The L front wheel could be turned easily. Did a test run of about 20 km. The barake pedal moved easily (previously, the pedal was getting harder to push each time I appled brakes). After coming back, checked the wheel temperatures. It was the same on all the wheels (previously the L front wheel was scorching to touch).
Goes to show how this sort of problems could be sorted by a process of elimination.
A big thank you for all those who helped me and stimulate me to action after a period of hybernation.
