Fahrwerk: Räder wackeln

Hallo zusammen,
Ich bin Arjan, "the proud new owner" von einem 745i aus 05/2002 und neu auf diese forum. Ich kan Deutch lesen aber schreiben ist nicht mein ding. Diese erste Satz hat schön 15 minuten gedauert zu formulieren... and most likely is still full of mistakes, so I hope you don't mind I switch over to English.

I have been visiting this forum quite a lot since December 2011 when I started my seach for a the right e65 for the right price. I think this is a very nice forum with a lot of people who have 100.000km experience or even more!

I did read about the leaking coolant pipes, rough idles (valvetronic), oil consumption and tons of electronic issues, but all of this could not take away that we (my gf and I) just wanted to have an VFL e65 next to our clasic 535i e28.

So half a year later we finally found her. A Saphir Black beauty with Flanel Grau interior, Scheckheftgepflegt. It has the Dutch Executive package with a huge list of options, plus additional to that Active Sitze, a heated steeringwheel and most important... a MiniDisc ASK unit

So no, it does not leak coolant, does not consume any oil, nor it have a rough idle when cold. And all electronics work "einwandfrei". A full check with Inpa generated a list of 0 "fehler"

But I do have an issue with front end shimmy or Räder that "wackel" and that is what my question is all about.

When I bought the car, the 6 year old front tires (245/45R19) had 3,5 to 4mm of tread and the car had lots of shimmy when braking. So I took the wheels of and measured the brakedisc runout which was close to nothing. I visually checked all arms and bushes and they look fine. Put the wheels back on and now I had additional shimmy from 85-115kmh, next to the braking shimmy .

I had the tires replaced this morning and when I left the tireshop it was 100% free of shimmy on a short trip. Then I left the car for 6 hours and when I drove it again the shimmy was back at the same speeds. Only now when braking it seems to be fine

So what is next? Querlenker? And would this be a good deal?

And are they just as easy to replace as on a e28? Or do I need any special tool? Or is there anything else to check first?
