Sorry to say, the two of you are talking about completely different matters.
You are suggesting the automatic switching betweeen daytime running light and lowbeam in dark.

But the question here is about "Fernlichtassistent" which ist the automatic switching between low and high beam.

Der Vorschlag beschreibt die Tagfahrlicht/Normallicht-Automatik.

Die Frage hier ist aber nach Abblend/Vollicht-Automatik.
