E32 M70 won't start

Hi friends,

I have a new 750 '91 with 216.xxx km.

Now I have a quite boring problem. Sometimes the car wont start.
The batteri ist new (105 Ah) so there is enough electrical power.
The altanetor is also new, it just came from an electrical workshop so the car is producing enough of electricity.

I get all the lights on the dashboard when I switch the car on but when I try to start I only hear a litle click sound but the starter wont start.

I assume that this is an electrical problem.

You´ve near the Batterie a very strong Fuse.
Check this of broken parts.

look in this Thread, the answer # 18 and # 19 has the pictures, wich
explain this Fuse.

Hi Peter,

I'll check the fuse. Now the car is at the supermarket where I left him when I was shoping for dinner

This happened last week then after hours rest or so the car started perfectly.
I did know that my E32 had an soul but this fail is quite devilish

maybe the starter-relays or the starter hangs. i had the same problems with an VW Golf 3.

mmmh, if this fuse is in good condition, my next guess is the Starterrelay

Can you tell me where the Starterrealay is located

yes, the Starterrelais is the K1 in the fusebox, i can´t find the picture
this moment,but i am searching.
