WHat was the mileage at the bang point?
Low or middle or high?

My E38 engine went bang at 44k due to nikasil. Now 104000 and going strong still so this wouldnt put me off.
Cant be as bad as the M3 issue with the bottom half shell bearings that plague reliability with the E46.

Yeah, the M3 problem was a big thing, I mean the M3 is stunning, but in my opinion the M3's Engine is running on the Edge, you can see that, cause there is hardly any tuning available for the car, because the Engine is already close to it's maximum. Apart from that the car is just mindblowing, I love it! Especiually in Phoenixyellow, abolutely great.

The 7 series went off at approx. 50k miles, the Turbocharger went off, too, it might be because we gave the Car a Chip Tuning about a month before it blew up, but as the Turbo went off in 2003, too, I dont belive that it has got a lot to do with the Tuning, anyhow, when the car gets back into our hands, the Chip will go in again!
